Zinc Anode Usage Tips

• Use zip ties if you don’t want to mount the sacrificial anode permanently into the skimmer.
• There is no difference in the effect of the zinc anode whether you install it inside or outside the skimmer basket.
• Sacrificial anodes don’t rust, but they deteriorate. Depending on your pool water’s pH, the sacrificial anode can last for several pool seasons.
• You’ll need to replace the sacrificial anode when reduces to half its original size. /
• Adding one sacrificial anode will prolong the life of the other. But you need to first observe the rate of deterioration of one zinc anode disc before deciding to add another.
